Douglas K. Mandel is a Senior Managing Director Investments in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale offices of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. He is also Senior Director of the firm’s Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) division and the National Office and Industrial Properties Group (NOIPG). Mr. Mandel focuses exclusively on investment property sales, specifically mid-market and institutional assets throughout the Southeast. Adam Klein is an Associate specializing in Office and Industrial properties, based out of Marcus and Millichap's Fort Lauderdale office. He works with clients to understand their goals and the optimal method for achieving them within their Real Estate portfolio. Adam has had a successful track record collaborating with clients in various complex investment situations to build and execute the best solution. He counts many clients as friends, with relationships going back to the beginning of his career. After more than ten years working in business development on Wall Street in New York, Adam recently relocated to South Florida with his family.
John Watters leads the support team with financial analysis, property research, market knowledge and industry expertise. An alumnus of the University of Miami, John has nearly 25 years of experience in multiple fields of the real estate market and previously worked as both a Loan Officer and Licensed Escrow Agent for two Fortune 500 developers. His extensive and varied experience gives him a unique perspective on the market and all transactional processes. He is skilled in performing research and provides updated market and demographic data critical to effectively underwriting investment properties. John will manage all aspects of the sales process including property valuation, financial underwriting, Argus modeling, market research and marketing.
Gabrielle Lurie is the Executive Assistant to Douglas Mandel, as well as the Transaction Manager for the Mandel Group. Gabrielle aids in the transaction process by coordinating the flow of documents and deadlines towards the final consummation of each deal. She also oversees internal operations of the office, assisting in various operational tasks and assures a steady and consistent communication channel throughout the entire transaction process. Gabrielle joined Marcus & Millichap in 2011 as the Marketing Coordinator and the Executive Assistant to the Ft. Lauderdale office's Regional Manager. In these roles, Gabrielle was instrumental in the office's agent recruiting and training efforts, and she assisted the marketing team with media relations, advertising strategies, graphic design, direct-mail and email marketing, and event planning, as well as other marketing strategies.
Syed Hassan is the Senior Designer and oversees all aspects of the marketing process including media relations, advertising strategies, graphic design, website management, direct-mail and email marketing. He is instrumental in the creation of all marketing materials and the implementation of a coordinated marketing effort across multiple channels. Syed is continually instituting the latest technology in his marketing efforts, resulting in cutting-edge deigns and a fully customized marketing campaign for every client. Syed has over seven years of marketing experience in the real estate industry and over 20 years in graphic design. Syed graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a BS in Media Arts and Animation.
Andrew Silver supports the team with financial analysis and property research. Specifically, Andrew's primary duties include the underwriting and valuation of investment properties using Argus, Excel, and personal market knowledge; the creation of Offering Memorandum and Broker Opinion of Value packages; and the research of primary and secondary markets to identify industry trends. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, in 2016, Andrew worked as an analyst for two Manhattan hedge funds. Andrew graduated from the University of Miami with a B.B.A. in Economics.
